Our estate grown Shiraz has always been heavy in dark fruit, with the 2022 vintage being no exception. Blackberries and mulberries lead the nose with our small proportion of whole bunch fermentation adding cassis bark and a light menthol note. Black pepper and bresola spice follow with an underlying meatiness. Crushed strawberries and olives provide a mix of sweet and savoury on the palate, with charred wood and toast lengthening the tannins on the finish.
This wine is drinking beautifully right now, however we would highly recommend hiding a few bottles away to crack open in about 5 years time. This is a wine best enjoyed by fellow wine lovers and is even better if it’s drunk by the side of a fire.
