I’m not a professional wine taster but just someone who enjoys drinking wine from a variety of regions and countries. Every time I open a bottle of Darley Shiraz, I am impressed. I’ve been enjoying Darley Shiraz for a few years now-last night I opened my last 2017 Shiraz. I like the gentle dark fruit flavours and the overall balance. Of course the wine changes year to year, but there is a consistent high quality in each vintage. I would say it is better (more enjoyable for me) than 90% of all the other reds I would drink in a year, all costing 2 to 4 times more.
